Community space? Think libraries.

Southern Alberta Library Conference Lethbridge March 7-8 2014

In recent years there has been a growing emphasis on the role of public libraries as community spaces. The modern library is a community centre, social hub, a gathering place and its strength lies in its ties to the community and the relationships that are built with library patrons. The library is no longer just a place where people go to borrow books and find information, but a place where people can go to do things; create things.
